We are seeking an experienced hands-on Controller who can oversee all finance and accounting functions and serve as a key member of the leadership team.
Principal Responsibilities
- Responsibilities:
- • Oversee all month-end activities, including all month-end inventory functions (inventory adjustments, reporting, inventory closeouts, etc.)
- • Oversee payroll, ensuring payroll tax compliance
- • Responsible for ACA compliance and reporting and 401(k) administration
- • Finalize monthly/annual financial statements; interpret, present, and distribute reports to appropriate parties
- • Submit company taxes (income, property) as required
- • Coordinate year end reporting documents with CPA firm
- • Responsible for the yearly 1099 processing and reporting
- • Ensuring compliance with government required reporting (e.g., sales & use tax)
- • Process any government census requests
- • Serve as liaison to banking and financial institutions, including coordinating all financing arrangements with lenders for capital investments
- • Enter and monitor job costing
- • Create and monitor financial budgets
- • Position reports directly to President/Owner
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience, CPA license not required but preferred
- Minimum 3 years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Intimate knowledge of cost accounting and cost layering
- Strong math and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks
- Self-directed and able to prioritize work independently
- Strong computer skills, software knowledge (MS Office)
- Experience with Visual Infor software preferred
