As the founder of Kendall Howard, Randy Herreid makes it his mission to instill in others and to exemplify the values our company holds so dearly. Randy has always had the attitude that if there is a better way, we can find it. Putting the customer’s needs first is why he adopted our now well known moto, “The Answer is Yes, What’s the Question.” Once the entire company understands this, its nearly impossible to not exceed the customers’ expectations.

Randy Herreid comes to Kendall Howard from an early career in Prototype Engineering and Manufacturing and a recent career as Corporate Analyst. Marrying these two skill sets together is why he has been able to craft a company culture that is all about finding that better way. Although his main responsibilities are the oversight of this worldwide reaching company, his passion remains in the Custom Product Development division. You will often find Randy leaving the conference room with Sr Staff to jumping into a prototype production project.

Randy grew up in Stillwater Minnesota, attended Stillwater Sr. High School and then the University of Minnesota studying Business and Corporate Journalism. He has been happily married since 2002 to a wonderful public school teacher and lives in the north suburbs of the Twin Cities. A father of 5 beautiful children certainly keeps him on his toes at home. He enjoys bonfires with the family, following the Minnesota Wild, and spending time in flight simulators.

I am highly motivated by a strong sense of ownership and pride in what I’ve had the privilege of helping build. It has been remarkable to witness firsthand how each individual’s contribution has been woven into the fabric of Kendall Howard’s success story. I am deeply committed to preserving the spirit of what we’ve built—our values and culture—while continuing to expand our influence, reach new milestones, and embrace the opportunities ahead. My journey at Kendall Howard began as a part-time entry-level employee during my senior year of high school while attending the University of Minnesota. Over multiple decades, I have advanced through various roles across virtually every business unit within the organization. I’ve gained expertise in warehouse operations, distribution, fabrication, production engineering, scheduling, procurement, and materials management. These experiences have allowed me to develop strong business acumen, enriched by diverse perspectives and points of view that have shaped my leadership philosophy: empowering others to invest in personal growth will have a lasting impact on organizational success. Outside of work, my world revolves around my wife and three children. I enjoy outdoor activities, coaching youth sports, and am an avid Minnesota sports fan.

With over a decade of HR management experience spanning various industries, I bring a deep, well-rounded expertise to everything I do. One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is designing compensation and benefits packages that genuinely reflect the contributions of our incredible team. In my free time, I always seek opportunities to grow—exploring new cuisines, traveling to new destinations, curling up with a great book, or spending quality time with family and friends. Life is about learning, connecting, and striving to improve.

Whether we’re playing games, going for outdoor walks, enjoying boat rides, or fishing, I cherish those moments that help me recharge and stay connected. Each achievement reflects my dedication to innovation and growth. With over 32 years of experience developing consumer products specialize in manufacturing, materials, and processes. I collaborate with global and domestic suppliers to deliver high-quality results. My career has been about excellence and navigating complex challenges to achieve success. Beyond work, I unwind outdoors—hunting, hiking, watersports, and camping fuel my adventurous spirit. I am also passionate about cars, from classic designs to modern marvels. These hobbies balance my life, blending exploration, challenge, and creativity.

I’ve been part of the Kendall Howard team since 2005, and I still wake up every day excited to tackle new challenges. I get to solve complex problems, think outside the box, and create custom solutions you won’t find anywhere else—what’s not to love? I started in an entry-level role and worked my way up to the management team, picking up hands-on experience in just about every part of the business along the way. One of the coolest parts of my job has been helping take our custom product development to the next level, building unique solutions that truly make an impact for our clients. The mix of big ideas, great people, and the thrill of bringing something new to life keeps me motivated. When I’m not in problem-solving mode at work, you’ll probably find me in the garage knee-deep in a DIY home project or off on an adventure with my family.
